Someone once said that the written word is the most powerful weapon known to man, and they were right. In whatever form it comes, be it written or spoken, it has the power to form opinions, change perceptions and build up or destroy individuals. For the average Joe, if the media get on your case, it's all over; mud sticks. If you harp on about something long enough and remain unchallenged, eventually people will begin to believe it.   1. Undersøg via bl.a. www.infomedia.dk for mediernes dækning af hooliganfænomenet i Danmark. Er der specielle fokuspunkter? Hvem får taletid i artiklerne? Hvilke billeder præsenteres man som læser for? Etc.
  2. Analyser ud fra nogle af de givne links holdningen til mediernes fokus på fænomenet i England "For newspapers, football hooliganism is a sexy topic. As soon as they put it in the papers football hooliganism rears its ugly head" it sells a newspaper.
  3. Diskuter ovenståendes sandhedsværdi. Bekræfter det det I har fundet ud af ovenfor? Anvend det sociologiske begrebsapparat til at analysere årsagerne til, at medierne skriver om hooliganisme som det er tilfældet? Er der tale om en såkaldt 'postmodern era'?
